THE OLDER BROTHER:waxingpoetic Charles is Patience’s oldest brother and she adores him. She finds his poetry most romantic but worries that playright is an unscrupulous pastime for a rich young man.
THE SECOND BORN: Patience’s second oldest brother Joseph. She has much less in common with him, finding him to bookish for her tastes. She wishes he would go outdoors more and take part in more manly pastimes.
THE BABY BROTHER: Crispin is the youngest child. Patience dotes on him and babies him. She has high hopes that he will grow up to be a dashing, brave young gentleman.
THE FATHER:lord_hurst Patience’s dear father. She measures all other men by her father and believes he can do no wrong.
THE MOTHER Rebecca is Patience’s beloved mother. Although she always defers to her father Patience wishes to lead a life much like her mother’s and idolizes her.

THE BEST FRIEND:missella Ella and Patience have known each other since childhood. Patience is quite devoted to her and secretly hopes Ella would marry one of her brother’s so they might be sisters.
THE FRIEND:joiedevivre Patience invited Olivia into her social group upon discovering she had three eligible brothers, however she found Olivia delightful company and hopes they will soon become firm friends.
THE ENEMY-FRIEND:melie_auclair Brought together more by social standing than any true affinity, Patience finds Melie a strange creature and worries she will become an old maid.

THE OLDER MAN:moshenik Sergius Petrov is a charming older man who Patience is quite taken with. She can’t believe his second wife would have killed herself and left the poor man like that. She enjoys flirting with him a ridiculous amount.
THE BAD INFLUENCE:krochester Katherine Rochester and Patience certainly don’t see eye to eye on their ideas of what a woman should be. Patience is certain that Katherine will end up a spinster.
